Interesting and concerning. I feel more trusting of Apple getting this right than Google of course.

Does anybody actually feel good about the fact that they’re just now concentrating on privacy and security? They have made way too many security “mistakes” for this to matter now.
“Our goal has always been to provide the world with the best weather information possible, to help as many people as we can stay dry and safe, and to do so in a way that respects your privacy,” Dark Sky co-founder Adam Grossman writes in the post. “There is no better place to accomplish these goals than at Apple. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to reach far more people, with far more impact, than we ever could alone.”
And you do that by restricting the app to one platform and cutting off the API? 🤔
It’s not looking good.
As long as the Client Hints API is a standard and not a Chrome feature then this is great. User Agent strings have always been trash. There has never been a time in my 15 years of web development that I enjoyed having to do anything with them.

Some password managers to consider:
So Facebook is filled with cowards unable to stand for what’s right. I been knew that.
Re: Google's decision to shift control of UK user data to the US looks like a calculated political bet that Brexit will be a privacy disaster
This situation is ugly.
I really don’t like using Apple products the way I used to for this reason. They should be embarrassed it’s gotten to this point.
I can’t believe they’re selling this phone for $1,500.
I give it 4 years before most of the popular phones look exactly like this.
