“I am sorry to say that we decided against moving you to the next stage of the process, primarily for missing some essential tech skills”. This was the email I received end of October 2020. It was the fourth rejection after spending a huge amount of time going through hiring processes, technical interviews, technical tests, and other joys. I didn’t understand what was happening: every company I worked with was happy about my work, my skills, and my involvement.
