I was always excited about the possibilities recent developments in LLM-powered workflows provide. At the same time, I was also wary about the larger implications of these things, from the whole theft problem to wondering “I wonder when this thing is going to become self-aware”.

I’ve been using portable writing setups for a while. I started with an AlphaSmart Neo. This was great, but with the screen angle being fixed not as versatile as I had wanted. I wrote a novella on it (said novella would later be extended and become a #1 best-seller in Amazon’s Science Fiction Romance category!)

I spent a year in Gothenburg after many years in Stockholm. The neighborhood I lived in for most of that time was a very quiet residential area with a small square. In the square was a Thai lunch place. As with many lunch offers in Sweden, the place offered free coffee with lunch. You’d come up to a self-serve coffee counter and pour yourself a cup.

I saw a blurred video of a prisoner of war being beheaded last week. I’ve seen many images of war over the last >1 year, and none have affected me quite like this one. I don’t go out actively looking for these things, but I read different news channels and you end up seeing some things. As I described to someone else earlier, I think it’s the sound that did it. I had trouble explaining what I meant exactly, so I figured writing out the explanation might set it straighter in my head.

Sometimes I feel like rambling out into the void at no one in particular.
