Im Dwayne, the owner of Dwayne Harris, LLC and developer of this website. Im a Black American software engineer living in New York City.

I had been working full time as a web/app developer at a variety of different tech and non-tech companies from 2005 to 2020. In 2020, I decided to switch to self-employed freelance development to 1) have an easier time choosing when and which companies and organizations to spend time working with and 2) allocate a portion of my time to building this web platform. I created this company that, at the time, was created mostly just to organize my freelance work.

Over the past 6 years being self-employed and watching the changes in the United States and its tech industry, Ive come to understand exactly what I want to use my skills for and how I want to use my business.

Some things I believe in:

• The value of knowledge and information.
• The importance of individual independence and the de-concentration of power away from institutions and towards individuals, communities, and focused organizations.
• The effective use of software to help those individuals, communities, and organizations achieve their goals.
