Data and information security is a focus and very high priority at Dwayne Harris, LLC.

Data Collection

Dwayne Harris, LLC collects, generates, and stores data as part of its business activities. Some of the many sources of data include:

  • Data collected as part of research, investigation, or other intelligence activities.
  • Data submitted to the DwayneWeb Platform.
  • Information collected, generated, or stored from consulting and development clients.
  • Data collected, generated, or stored from web hosting clients.

Where possible, all data is stored on servers/drives that are either on-premisis (New York, USA) or in data centers owned by Digital Ocean.

All data, regardless of source, is covered by the same data and information security practices.

Publication

Some of the goals of Dwayne Harris, LLC include determining the right context and timing of publishing and distributing information that is in the public interest and providing a platform for others to do the same. A data classification process is used to determine what information can be, should be, or is allowed to be published or shared.

Data Classification

All data collected, controlled, or managed by Dwayne Harris, LLC is classified into one of the following categories:

Confidential
Data that is not intended to be and is prohibited from being published. Under specific circumstances, this data may be shared with employees or contractors, or with data partners/services for analysis or development purposes.
Internal / Restricted
Data intended to be shared with employees or contractors, but not published.
Public
Any data, material, or information that was already publicly available when collected or was always intented to be public.

Additionally, there are two other classes of data that are more specifically covered by legal agreements:

DwayneWeb Platform User Data
Data that is submitted to or collected by this or other websites or apps on the DwayneWeb Platform. Data submitted for the purpose of publishing is classified as Public. Consulting or Web Hosting Client Data
Data that is either collected or generated from or by clients. By default, all data is Confidential unless specified otherwise in an agreement/contract or permission is granted to reclassify.
