Dwayne.xyz was started in 2020 as a basic blog. Over the next few years, it grew in size and scope and eventually became part of the DwayneWeb platform, which was designed to provide resources, data, services, and other tools. DwayneWeb was eventually brought into Dwayne Harris, LLC to become the public facing part of the business.
DwayneWeb Platform
The DwayneWeb Platform is a custom built and self-hosted set of core services that powers this and other websites and apps from Dwayne Harris, LLC.
The core of the platform is a Rust app that stores data in Postgres, SQLite, and DuckDB databases. This app and related infrastructure was developed over years with the goal of being a high-quality, performant, resource efficient base to build services on. It handles:

Integration with various third-party data sources for research, analysis, and publication.
Task Scheduling
Dynamic, flexible, and scalable task scheduling system that handles both system and user level tasks.
Analytics
Detailed hourly, daily, and monthly page view statistics for all pages on all websites on the platform.
WebSockets
Real-time communication between connected web/app clients and the platform services.
Third-Party APIs
Integration with many third-party APIs for features like web search, file upload support, real-time news and alerts, data analysis, GenAI, and more.
